A few years after his exhibition Conclusion de carrière at Galerie Baudoin Lebon in 2000, Antoine Perpère has devised a new conclusion at Rue Antoine gallery. Conceived as a micro-retrospective, this final stroll begins with an engraving from 1972 and ends with Trois entre-deux mains, a series of bronzes from 2018.
Reflecting the diversity of the works on display, both in terms of their media and the fields they explore, Antoine Perpère is a man of many parts. Between a career as a hospital executive specializing in addiction and his work as an exhibition curator (he notably curated Sous influences, an exhibition on psychotropic substances at La Maison Rouge in 2013), art accompanies him everywhere.
Dedicated to the number three, the exhibition Triptychs, Triads and Trilogies firmly embraces a rejection of the One and the Two.
